Deltic Technical Specification
These specifications are drawn from several sources, principally "English Electric Locomotives of British Rail" by Brian Webb. Various modifications were made as time went by, mainly the addition of train air brakes and electric train heating. These resulted in some slight increase in weight.
Particularly relevant to the current situation is that the the bogies and traction motors, while not identical to the more numerous classes 50 and 37, are completely interchangeable. There are several 37's still in existence, both on service and in store.
